I was environments lead on this show in between War for the Planet of the Apes and The Death Cure for Maze Runner. Another great team and some good problems to solve on this.
Work consisted of helping manage the models/ environments team and figuring out how these builds would come together. This included the beach scenes and extended environment (mountain towns), a series of environment cuts behind Valerian running, subaquatic kit-bashed parts with custom tunnel sculpts, and finally a deep ravine.
Most of these scenes were kit-bashed from photogrammetry rocks, but there was some hand sculpting in there done in ZBrush and Mudbox.
